The first EKL (elastic connector strips)

As an innovative company, we have remained true to the traditions of Dr. Walter Zumtobel and Ferdinand Rojkowski. They were the brains behind "Electro-Terminal" and were never content to rest on their laurels. This enabled the company to register considerable success on regional, national and international markets and establish its own standards.

In this respect, nothing has changed right up to the present day. Tridonic connection technology holds numerous patents that are fundamental to electrical connections - and will continue to shape the future of this technology. What's more, with our innovations and patents we support our customers worldwide in achieving their own market objectives.

Before Electro-Terminal
1953

Zumtobel starts production of terminal blocks (integration of the Michel-Werke, manufacturer of plastic electrical components, into W. Zumtobel KG).
