A reliable connection for Burj Khalifa

The improved EKL S makes installation easier

Planners and installers at the spectacular Burj Khalifa in Dubai-City were impressed by more than 45 years of accumulated know-how in electrical connections and expertise in product solutions.

In the 160 storeys of the tallest building in the world (more than 2,700 feet) hundreds of thousands of electrical connections had to be made. Around a quarter of a million type EKL S terminal strips from Tridonic connection technology were used. They greatly speeded up installation work, made the work of the installers much easier and are now providing reliable service in the Burj Khalifa.

User-friendly design

The 12-pin EKL S Europa terminal strip ensures simple insertion and is suitable for rigid conductors and also flexible conductors without wire protection. Installers also appreciate the stable torque loading of the EKL S, the high flexibility of the strip and the ease with which the individual terminal blocks can be separated (twist’n pull® design). The strip is available in different versions for secure connection of conductor cross-sections from 1 to 16 mm². The EKL S also of course has relevant international approval marks and meets the requirements of EN 60998-1:2004 and EN 60998-2-1:2004.

Efficiency reduces costs

Terminal strips from Tridonic connection technology save time and therefore money and provide a safe and reliable connection.
